Privacy notice

SolarPilot is a solar-planning tool. If you allow analytics, the site stores a random browser identifier and session identifier, page paths, referring domain, campaign tags, general device category and calculator settings/results such as selected battery type, selected location preset and estimated system size. This helps us understand usage and improve the service.

Optional demographic survey

After a calculator result, you may optionally provide an age bracket, gender, customer type, state or service area, estimated budget bracket and purchase timeline. These answers are used to understand audience patterns in aggregate. The survey does not ask for your name, phone number or email address. You can skip it and still use SolarPilot. If analytics consent is enabled, survey answers may be linked to a pseudonymous browser/session identifier and campaign source to help us understand broad acquisition patterns; they are not used to identify you by name.

Choices and data minimisation

Analytics is optional. Choose “Continue without analytics” to decline. Survey answers are voluntary. We do not need your name, phone number, precise GPS location or raw IP address for this analytics dashboard. Do not enter personal information into calculator fields. You can decline individual demographic questions by leaving them unanswered.

Future quote requests

If a quote or installer-request form is added, it will have a separate explanation of which contact details are collected, why, who receives them and how long they are retained. We will not try to retrieve private demographic profiles from Facebook, Google or X just because you visit from those services.

Retention and contact

Before public launch, SolarPilot should configure a retention schedule and a way to handle applicable access/deletion requests. Contact: replace this paragraph with your business contact email before publishing. This notice is a starting point, not legal advice or a guarantee of compliance with applicable privacy law.
